Sports Leaders Panathlon North Plate Final
Yesterday, thirteen of our Year 9 Sports Leaders help deliver the Panathlon North Plate final. The earlier rounds took place here at QK a few weeks ago, with great success. Our leaders help put on a fantastic tournament, that helped provide sporting opportunity to students with learning difficulties.
The support and encouragement that our leaders provided to the students was evident by their determination to succeed in the events that they were in. The event organiser highlighted a big part of the tournament’s success was down to the leaders great attitudes.
We have been asked to help support the regional finals which will take place at the Cooper Box arena later this year. The students also met Louise Sugden, a English wheelchair Basketball player who is aiming to make the Rio 2016 team.
