World Book Day, or ‘World Dressing-up Day’, has become a more significant date on a school calendar. Beyond all the costumes (and what magnificent costumes they were!) there is much to celebrate, not least all the students who have read a million words this academic year. The evidence is that our students are making better progress in their reading and it is good to have a chance to acknowledge it all.
