Founded in 2002, Greenhouse Sports is a London-based charity committed to using sport to help young people realise their full potential. Our coaches work full time in schools and the community to provide outstanding sports programmes that nurture Social, Thinking, Emotional and Physical (STEP) skills to equip young people for life.
We believe every young person should have the opportunity to thrive.
Quintin Kynaston (QK) Sixth Form College are partnered with Greenhouse Sports in delivering the QK Basketball Sixth Form Programme. The aim of the programme is to provide student athletes aged 16-19 a structured and supportive environment where students flourish and develop the skills needed to be successful in their chosen careers, training and/or higher education. The Sixth Form programme will combine core Greenhouse Sports values and expectations, with a fresh approach to increasing participants’ employability, social integration levels and personal development using sports leadership. Sixth Form students are ‘independent learners’ however this does not mean they are left on their own. Students will be fully supported to work towards meeting their full potential with the support of tutors and their coach to support academic performance.
