Year 7 football squad have played a few matches so far both at Regents Park and at our all new 4G football pitch. The future of QK looks fantastic as the team have yet to lose a game, we have played against two top teams in the area and on both occasions have drawn.
Our first game in Regent’s Park Youth League saw our year 7 squad totally dominate the whole game against a squad who are reigning champions. We were 1-0 up and had so many chances to win the game, but we could not apply the final finish and the game ended 1-1. It was fantastic to see staff and parents come out in numbers to support the squad.
The second game was played on our state of the art football pitch at QK. We played The Hill FC, this was the team name but it was students from ASL International School.
The team started very slow, going 3-0 down within the first 15 minutes. Miss Durant and the Year 7 team showed their support cheering them on. The squad pulled together and worked hard for each other, they showed resilience and came back to finish the game 3 – 3. What an amazing game of football for the spectators and some great goals, the squad have another game this Saturday.
Special mention to Bradley for officiating both games, he made exceptional decision and was in control of the games. Well done Bradley.
